My phone rang. Someone offered me a job, 12 hours a week i can split the time or do it in one day, my job was to promote stuff, display and manage stocks. pay? around $300. sounds damn good right? but fuck. i made an appointment at 2pm, their office is located at bugis village. 2pm i received a text "Hey valerie, are you reaching?" i replied "at bugis station walking over now. sorry" i was asked to wait outside KFC, and i waited for 30mins. THIRTY-FUCKING-MINUTES. and i was working on that day i took off my lunch break just to head down to see what it is. A WRONG CHOICE.

i was brought up, i saw some familiar faces along the way, i was like "where have i seen them before?" as i approached the entrance i can hear the chatters of a huge crowd of people. "what they are hiring so many people?" went through my head. i saw the product i saw the people. FUCK mlm. dafuq? i was brought in a room, the teenage girl aged 19 asked me a few questions and i asked her if this is mlm. she answered yes, straight away i told her i'm not interested. and explained to her what i was told on the phone.she asked me to hold on and wait as she goes to get her manager to talk to me. 

he came in, i think he's about 22? looks like. okay i thought i could be offered the job post that i was told. he interviewed me and at the end he said, "congrats, the moment i stepped into the room your interview has already began and you passed the first round" i rolled my eyes as i recalled the previous company manager did the same thing. oh god he talked to me for 1 hour about the idea and product and i was there debating against him until i had no time as i needed to leave for work i just kept saying okay and seems interested just to get away. i was 3hours gone from work. the funniest part is he would compare like toyota and a ferrari. like toyoto 500k is expensive, let's say 500k for ferrari is cheap right? and I'm like eh duh? you are paying for the brand and engine, it has always been expensive that's why people think it's cheap. and he would use his product and say it's like a ferrari. and i told him, ferrari is a brand that has been around the world advertising for a long time, why is it so expensive? you pay for the engine, why is it that everyone knows? through advertising and people using it. is your product known to people? no. it's your product advertised around? no. you can't even compare your product to a toyota, even people knows the brand of toyota. and he skipped that topic and continue to talk about how good the goods is. and my main question was, where do i get the customer. he said everyone's your customer. i repeated myself specifically "when i first step out to get sales, where do i get my customers?" "we have seminar where we sell to big companies, you can go to big corporate companies to sell, it can also start with a stranger which i can teach you" "so isn't it like a door to door sales?" "no" "how is it not? you go door to door in each company to sell your product, chances are that 9/10 wouldn't want to buy your product" he had nothing to say against it. basically i shoot back everything he had to say, until i couldn't because i didn't have the time, and probably he will answer me with those standard answers which he had been all along. at the end i told him, you want can wait till customer comes to me when i sell my plans as a financial planner, I'm not gonna run around like a dog trying to sell, it's not money i can see. you guys are not even paying my transportation fares. earn? yeah i can earn, for how long must i wait? even if i go to those seminar or tea party which they have, i'm not the only one doing it, there are so many others doing it. dude, you just want me to stay so that i sell you earn too. in the end he asked if i can go for training, i said next month. he kept insisting, and yes i did too. so next month comes, i will again try my best to avoid them, and if i have the time, i think i will go down to have a little debating just to kill my boredom.

i don't really fancy mlm people because they sound very fake. like sibei fake nice people. they way they say "hello my name is..... "and when they asked about stuff. they really sound fake, even when they text just to get you to hang around so that they can try their luck to get you in. really fake. they can claim the hall of fame people are driving BMW, so what happens if the company falls? probably they were the first few who joined early who have relatives who are aunties to spread the word around therefore easier, right now there are so many people. BM? rightttt. i'm not interested. i can drive one when i start working and get REAL VISIBLE FIXED MONEY and i don't have to worry about the company failing.
